Embossed wax capsules, two damaged. No labels. Levels: seven into neck and two base of neck
Tasting Note: Thirty years on and almost as deep and full as when first tasted in 1958. Lively-looking and rich; perfect, complete, harmonious bouquet with a touch of tobacco and Spanish root; sweet, powerful - almost Taylor-like backbone, but shapely and fleshy. Harmonious, classic at 'The World's Greatest Vintage Ports' tasting in Florida in 1998. Most recently, mellow and mature-looking, 'liquorice' bouquet; still very sweet, crisp, lovely texture, length and finish. Last tasted at a wine dinner at home, Jan 2000 ***** Will continue. M.B.
