Cal. 1580, with nickel-finished lever movement, 26 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, gilt-metal dust cover, silvered matte dial with applied luminescent baton numerals, luminescent hands, tonneau water-resistant-type case with polished bezel, screw-down crown and screw back, case, dial and movement signed, with stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and deployant clasp

The Milgauss model was designed for use in areas of high electro-magnetic fields found in laboratories and with electro-engineering. One of the most distinctive of all Rolex "sports" models, the reference 1019 was the last "tool" watch designed for a specific activity to be produced by the company.
