Accompanied by a fitted leather-covered box, original A. Lange & Sons certificate and paper.

The present watch employs an unusual secure setting mechanism that, as indicated by the engraving on the case, was patented by Adolph Lange on May 5th of 1866. By opening the back lid of the watch a lever is released that engages the setting gears.

This mechanism echoes Jürgensen's bow setting which Jürgensen patented one year later on January 15th.
