Recent vintages are beginning to gain strength under the stewardship of the Moueix family. This production is approximately 2,500 cases. Indeed, it is one of the few major properties to actually decrease in size, concentrating on maintaining its heartland rather than expanding to perhaps marginal adjacent territory. The evolution of the estates cepage over the years has been to expand the percentage of Merlot, hold a backbone of Cabernet Franc for underbrush spice while all but eliminate some straggling Malbec.
