Commercial artist, poster artist, menswear and costume designer working in Austria and Germany before moving to New York in 1933 and thence to Hollywood in 1934. Two notable films and stars he designed for were 'The Garden of Allah', 'Lost Horizon', Marlene Dietrich and Ronald Colman.
