Lot Essay

These console tables are based on 18th Century models such as the console with identical frieze and very similar supporting folaite caps and foliage from the Georges Hoentschel colletion (A. Pératé and G. Brière, Collections Georges Hoentschel, Paris, 1908, CXIV).
