Each printed in blue and enriched with a pale blue wash and in gilt in the 'Bat' pattern, a bird with outspread wings thus resembling a bat in flight above a fretwork fence enclosing vases of flowers, prunus issuing from rockwork at the right, the rim with a shaped cell-pattern band suspending flowers, gilt line rim; together with a spiral-fluted Worcester teabowl of slightly later date, the interior with a gilt vine entwined around a blue circle enclosing a gilt rosette, the rim gilt with berries and leaves on a gilt-edged blue band, the exterior gilt with flowering vines angled in opposition to the flutes
