CIRCA 1770, BLUE PSEUDO CHINESE FRET MARKS TO THE CUPS AND SAUCERS, CROSSED SWORDS MARK TO THE TWO-HANDLED CUP
Painted in the 'Jabberwocky' pattern in dark iron-red, green, blue and turquoise and enriched in gilt with a dragon amidst Kakiemon foliage, the shaped turquoise border edged in gilt, reserved with trellis cartouches and pendant with Kakiemon flowers, comprising: a two-handled cup and saucer with shaped rim, a reeded sugar-bowl and cover, three fluted teacups, two fluted coffee-cups, and five fluted saucers in sizes; together with a Chamberlain's Worcester deep saucer, circa 1820, brown script Chamberlain & Co. mark, decorated in the same pattern (15)
