A MEISSEN PORCELAIN KAKIEMON BASKET
Circa 1745, blue crossed swords mark, Dreher's T2
Of oval form, the exterior moulded with basket weave, the side rope handles with mask terminals modelled as the four seasons, the interior painted with a hen and rooster and with scattered insects and flowers, the border with four oval panels enclosing similar decoration reserved on a purple band painted with blue trellis and large flowerheads enriched in gilt
