CIRCA 1785, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS AND STAR MARKS, THE PLATE ALSO WITH PRESSNUMMER 34, THE CUP AND SAUCER ALSO WITH BLUE 4 AND PAINTER'S 31. IN PUCE
The plate en grisaille in the center with Bacchic figures on a faux-porphyry ground reserved within a gilt ribbon-tied wreath on the bright blue ground decorated overall with diaper trellis, the cavetto further reserved with a gilt-edged undulating ribbon, the border reserved with a gilt-edged shaped band painted with four ribbon-tied flower wreaths linked with oak-leaf swags, undulating gilt line rim; the coffee-can and saucer with a loose bouquet within gilt arrowhead and blue bands
