CIRCA 1760, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS AT THE BACK, MODELED BY F.E. MEYER
Each modelled as two putti frolicing on a shell-moulded base and either wearing or holding an attribute of its respective Continent: 'Africa' as a nubian seated on a recumbent lion and wearing an elephant-head headdress, paired with 'Asia' holding an incense burner, a feathered turban beside the lion; 'America' seated on the back of an alligator, wearing a feather headdress and holding a bow and arrows paired with 'Europe' holding an orb and sceptre, a helmet, dueling pistols and compass at his feet
