A GROUP OF LURISTAN BRONZE FINIALS AND PINS
MAINLY 1ST MILLENNIUM B.C.
Including a finial composed of conjoined lions, 5 in. (13 cm.) high; another in the form of two conjoined lions, their heads turned outwards, the upper portion cast as a tube with rectangular cap on which stands the figure of a bearded goat, 6¼ in. (16 cm.) high, all mounted; a finial composed of two confronted rampant goats with high curved horns, 2¾ in. (7 cm.) high; another with two confronted rampant hybrid goat-horse creatures with long twisted tails, crested manes and long curving horns, 6 in. (15 cm.) high; a finial in the form of a deer with long antlers, body pierced, 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) high; a pin with circular openwork head with two goats; another with head of winged lion with goat head emerging from chest, 7¾ in. (19.5 cm.) high max.; and three droppers with bulbous tips, with terminals in the form of a goat head, recumbent goat and ram, 5¾ in. (14.5 cm.) high max., all mounted (13)
