A LURISTAN BRONZE JANIFORM MASTER-OF-ANIMALS FINIAL
8TH-7TH CENTURY B.C.
With central stylized head and two flanking animals, cock heads emerging below, the central column with further stylized heads, ridged mouldings and protruding hips, arms missing, 7¼ in. (18.5 cm.) high; a group of twenty bronze pins with variously decorated terminals including one with winged monster, three with antelopes with curving horns, a ram head, and three birds; and a silver-alloy pin with terminal in the form of three lotus flowers emerging from broad leaves, all 1st millennium B.C., 9½ in. (24 cm.) long max. (22)
