CIRCA 10TH CENTURY A.D.
The footed globular body with cut decoration comprising two bands of hanging 'swags', with arches on the shoulder, with infilling short linear ornament, the tall cylindrical neck with encircling cut bands and alternating vertical columns of dots and lines, dark coloured iridescence, some loss to iridescent layer at top of neck

Formerly in a German private collection, acquired in the 1960s-1970s.
