A GREEK GOLD PENDANT EARRING IN THE FORM OF A SIREN
CIRCA 4TH-3RD CENTURY B.C.
The tapering twisted gold wire ear hoop terminating in a tongued and beaded collar from which emerges the forepart of a bare-breasted siren whose talons rest on a sheet gold rectangular plate; and a Western Asiatic sheet gold covered bronze torque with alternating fluted and ring patterns terminating with two additional sheet gold lynx heads, circa 5th Century B.C.
