A GREEK BRONZE OINOCHOE
CIRCA 5TH CENTURY B.C.
With flat base and wide mouth, high rectangular-section arching handle, the lower attachment plate of stylized leaf form, 12 in. (30.5 cm.) high; an Etruscan bronze oinochoe with high beaked trefoil mouth, the attached ribbed handle terminating in a lion head and two conical buds, at the base an inverted palmette and tendrils, repaired, 5th Century B.C., 10 in. (25.5 cm.) high; another trefoil-lipped bronze oinochoe, 7 in. (18 cm.) high; a bronze bowl with everted rim, 4th-3rd Century B.C., 5 in. (13 cm.) high; a European bronze socketed spearhead, the socket extending into the blade as a tapered mid-rib, 10½ in. (27 cm.) long; and a Central European copper alloy spiral armlet, 2¼ in. (5.5 cm.) high, both Bronze Age, circa 1200-800 B.C. (6)
