A VILLANOVAN IMPASTO WARE STAMNOS
EARLY 7TH CENTURY B.C.
With high conical foot, the spherical body with stamped circular decoration on the shoulder, with twin double-looped handles and short everted rim, 9 in. (23 cm.) high; an Etruscan bucchero ware kantharos, on conical foot and with twin high flat handles, a notched ridge around the body at the base of the handles, foot repaired, circa 620-600 B.C., 5 in. (12.7 cm.) high; and a Luristan bronze finial and stand, the central column with ridged mouldings and protruding hips, topped with central human head grasped between the jaws of two heraldic felines, with cylindrical-shaped stand, mounted, circa 9th-7th Century B.C., 9 7/8 in.
