A ROMAN BRONZE FIGURE OF APHRODITE
CIRCA MID/LATE 1ST CENTURY A.D.
The naked goddess standing with weight on left leg, her right leg bent at the knee, and with a slight twist to her torso, holding a thick garland in her raised right hand, her left arm lowered by her side, her head turned slightly to the left, wearing a high diadem with openwork edge, her hair centrally parted and drawn into a chignon at the nape of her neck, a thick double layered fringe over her forehead, with ringlets falling onto each shoulder, standing on original corniced base with squared feet, one now missing, mounted
