PROBABLY SAMARKAND, CENTRAL ASIA, 10TH CENTURY
With sloping sides and on short foot, the white interior painted in black, red and brown, with large kufic inscription reserved against speckled ground, the centre with absracted palmettes, the exterior with alternating wave motifs and pseudo-inscriptions, repaired breaks, minor restoration
