With rounded ends and sliding tray, the top painted with three large cartouches within golden leafy frames each containing one of the kings from the Shahnama surrounded by numerous courtiers, divided by two smaller similar cartouches, the sides with similar large cartouches divided by portait roundels, the red base with three further large similar cartouches, the tray with depictions of dervishes and their followers on both the sides and the underside, the interior with continuous floral sprays on a gold ground, touches of repair
