SIGNED BY NASRULLAH, IRAN, DATED AH 1267/1851-2 AD
Of rectangular form with hinged cover on four simple feet, the surface covered with leather panels each of which is worked with a central cusped floral medallion or arched design within similar floral meander borders, the front panel also with an upper band of inscriptions including the signature and date, the edges covered with extensive iron straps and clasps, each with worked ends, the feet with similar pierced iron bands around them, the interior plain pine, probably originally cloth lined, slight damages and restoration
