A MAHOGANY, EBONIZED AND INLAY ARMCHAIR, possibly designed by K.P.C. de Bazel, square section backlegs extending to join the open back with padded backrest and shaped toprail, above flaring rectangular vertical splat decorated with a rectangle carved and ebonized with curvelinear motifs surrounding a central inlaid roundel enclosing a star-motif, the flaring rectangular armrests resting on square section stiles extending into the front legs enhanced with ebonized linear decoration and mahogany and mother-of-pearl inlay, flaring rectangular padded seat, the legs joined by stretchers just below the flaring rectangular padded seat, the patterned mock-velvet upholstery designed by Theo Nieuwenhuis
