of rectangular form with overhanging cover, decorated in gold, black and red takamakie with aogai inlay of a crouching lady in foliate robes writing on a plaque, the interior of box in gold takamakie and mura-nashiji depicting tall pine trees, signed to base - 8 3/16in. (20.8cm) wide
A suzuribako and tebako signed by the same artist were sold in the Christies New York Japanese March 28th 2006 Auction.
