A Japanese satsuma cylindrical koro and cover, signed Gyokuzan, Meiji Period
raised on three supports, painted and gilt with a continous scene of ladies and children parading at leisure before a river scene, below a band of a multitude of flowerheads, the borders edged with gilt bamboo formed rims - 8in. (20.3cm) high.
