A Chinese famille rose quatrefoil shallow stem bowl, 19th century
with everted quatrefoil sides, supported on a splayed foliated foot, the well decorated with a quatrefoil cartouch enclosing four sages and attendants within a rocky fenced garden, the cavetto with various fruit and floral sprays, the reverse with peaches alternating with bats holding ribboned double cash motifs, the foot with bats above crested waves and rockwork, copper-red Daoguang seal mark -- 10 15/16in. (27.8cm.) wide.
