A partially glazed pottery jug, probably Syria, 12th Century
very delicately potted, of baluster form with handle, the body incised with the kufic phrase baraka wa picked out in cobalt blue and light managanese glaze, similar minor spots of colour around the handle and mouth, mouth ground down otherwise intact - 6.5in. (16.6cm.) high
