A 19th-Century brass 3¾-inch table telescope,
signed on the backplate L'Ingénieur Chevallier Opticien du Roi A Paris, the 120cm. long body-tube with lens cap (broken), star-finder with screw adjustment at either end, and (defective) rack and pinion adjustment to the eyepiece extension tube, with a spare eyepiece tube, mounted via a compass joint to a tapering brass column and three folding inswept legs
