Published by Newton Son & Berry 66 Chancery Lane, LONDON c.1830, made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, with Meridian of London and graduated equatorial and ecliptic, the oceans showing various explorers' tracks with notes and dates, the continents showing national boundaries, cities, rivers, lakes, mountains in pictorial relief and deserts, with two iron axis pins, contained in a spherical fishskin-covered case with two brass hooks and eyes, the interior laid with twelve hand-coloured engraved celestial gores NEWTON'S Improved Pocket CELESTIAL GLOBE, with graduated equatorial, ecliptic and colures, the constellations depicted by mythical beasts and figures and scientific instruments, and the stars shown to various orders of magnitude
