Cal. 76240 gilt-finished lever movement, 27 jewels, the silvered matte dial with applied white gold Arabic numerals, two sunk subsidiary dials indicating 30 minutes register and constant seconds, in large circular case with downturned lugs, glazed display back secured by four screws, split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through three round buttons in the band, platinum IWC buckle, case, dial and movement signed

The Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante model was made in a limited edition of 250 examples in platinum.

Upon special request of the present owner, this watch was fitted with a glazed back instead of the normal solid back, allowing him to observe the motions of the movement.
