To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never been offered in public before.

Reference 2540 was launched in 1954 and was Patek Philippe's first square wristwatch with self-winding movement. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, 2nd edition, p. 215.
