Cal. 17''' nickel-finished lever movement, 31 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers, the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds, in circular thin case with hidden hinges, the hinged back centred by inlaid black enamel initials RM, the inside with engraved inscription Robert Mecke, December 25, 1919, repeating slide in the band, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin & Warranty and Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1918 and its subsequent sale on 31 January 1919. Furthermore delivered with the original fitted wooden presentation box numbered 174'834 containing a spare crystal and spring.

The Certificate of Origin & Warranty bears a hand-written inscription to the back reading "Purchased by Robert Mecke, Nice - France - Winter 1919, Cost - 3800 Frs - 3.15 - 142.50".
