Cal. 295 13''' nickel-finished lever movement, 21 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, the two-tone silvered dial with black hard enamel baton and Arabic numerals on inner chapter ring, outer five minute divisions and tachymetre scale, two subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds and 45 minutes register, in large circular water-resistant-type case with downturned lugs, screw back, two round chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Accompanied by Vacheron Constantin Certificate dated 28 February 2006 confirming production of the movement in 1939 and the case in 1990. Furthermore delivered with a Vacheron Constantin presentation box and outer packaging.

This watch is one of two examples of platinum cased reference 92900 chronograph wristwatches made upon special request in 1990, both fitted with movements dating from 1939. Whereas the case of the present watch is numbered 509'768, the second example has the subsequent case number, 509'769.
