Lot Essay

Marion Dorn and Alec Hunter worked together at Warner & Sons, producing designs for RMS Queen Mary, and Eltham Palace, amongst others. The carpet that Dorn produced for Hunter was based on a design originally produced for an American client the year before, in 1935.
