In 1948 John Lehmann Ltd published The Voyage of Magellan, a radio play by Laurie Lee. The dust jacket and internal decorations were by Edward Burra. At this time Vaughan was working as a designer for Lehmann; it is therefore likely that the above work was Vaughan's design for the dust jacket.
