Lot Essay

The sense of movement is hightened by the dust billowing in the foreground. A go-cart run was one of a number of activities which the young men of Lartigue's inner circle enjoyed during their summers in Rouzat. Their shared disposition to sports gave Lartigue abundant opportunities for capturing wonderful mid-action scenes.
