Well carved as a recumbent beast beside its young, the animal with two horns, a mane, bushy tail and ferocious leonine face, holding a sprig of openwork lingzhi fungus in its mouth, the underside carved with tail and paw details, the polished stone of mottled greenish-grey tone with areas of russet skin remaining over the extremities of the pebble
