A FINE WHITE JADE BALUSTER VASE AND COVER
QIANLONG (1736-95)
Of flattened form with broad shoulders standing on a spreading foot, the tapering neck carved with two monster handles, the body in shallow relief with an archaistic taotie mask below twin fish suspended from lingzhi, between blades around the neck and foot, the shallow domed cover surmounted by a rectangular finial decorated with ruyi heads, the well polished stone of even white tone with very minor inclusions
