A LARGE SPINACH JADE VASE AND COVER
QIANLONG (1736-95)
The flattened vase of baluster form with two chrysanthemum handles flanking the tapering neck suspending loose rings, carved in shallow relief on the front and back with a small shou medallion borne on a chrysanthemum flower and below a butterfly, amidst curling tendrils bearing further blooms, the high domed cover with leaf lappets surmounted by a lotus-pod finial, the well polished stone of moss-green tone with variegated inclusions and minor speckling
