A FINE SMALL IMPERIAL INSCRIBED CELADON JADE MOUNTAIN
QIANLONG (1736-95)
Carved with Damo seated in meditation facing a cliff, beside a waterfall cascading from its crevice and a branch of flowering prunus, the boulder skillfully shaped following the natural contour of the pebble and retaining some of its 'skin', the cliff face incised and gilt with a poetic inscription, the softly polished stone of even celadon tone with slight inclusions
