EARLY 18TH CENTURY
The large shallow dish on a short foot, decorated in the Ming style with a central roundel depicting a qilin and phoenix above rockwork amongst lingzhi, lotus and a flaming pearl, within a border of cartouches containing scholars' objects, separated by chrysanthemum blooms on a ground of stylised clouds, the reverse with classic continuous lotus scrolls, all on turquoise grounds
