AN UNUSUAL CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL DOUBLE VASE
18TH 19TH CENTURY
Shaped as two conjoined vases, each with a circular body, a cylindrical neck and a rectangular foot, enamelled on either side on the principal vase with a deer travelling in a lakeside landscape holding a lingzhi spray in its mouth, looking back towards a crane in flight, and on the secondary vase a pair of magpies on flowering peach branches, the neck with a band of stiff leaves, the sides with blue kuilong scrolls, all on a turquoise ground
