AN UNUSUAL SMALL BLUE-SPLASHED POTTERY BOWL; AND A RARE SMALL CIZHOU ENAMELLED DISH
TANG DYNASTY (618-907); AND JIN DYNASTY (1115-1234)
The first with deep rounded sides rising from a short foot, covered with a cream glaze splashed in blue falling in streaks particularly to the exterior where the glaze ends halfway down the body exposing the fine, pale ware; the second with shallow sides and an everted rim, the interior freely enamelled in iron-red and green with a peony spray below a 'comma' band around the rim
