A RARE BLUE AND WHITE INSCRIBED CIRCULAR INKSTONE
WITH CYCLICAL DATE XINHAI, CORRESPONDING TO 1731 AND OF THE PERIOD
Potted with a groove surrounding the unglazed ink palette, delicately painted in soft blue tones with alternating sprays of prunus and chrysanthemum, the reverse with a recessed base inscribed with an inscription in seal script, surrounded by similar flower sprays
9¼ in. (23.5 cm.) diam.
