A RARE FLAMBÉ GLAZED VASE
INCISED YONGZHENG SEALMARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-35)
The rounded body with a band of moulded ruyi motifs above the spreading foot, the broad tapering shoulder with a similar moulded band below two ribs, leading up the cylindrical neck with galleried rim and applied with tow S-scroll handles to the sides, covered overall with a cherry-red glaze enriched with splashes of lavender and blue, the glaze around the mouth rim thinning to a mushroom-brown tone, entering into the interior with a streaky soft-blue glaze, the base with a mottled-brown glaze covering the impressed reign mark
