LATE 19TH CENTURY, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK
Modelled after the Krönungsservice, of oblong octagonal form, flanked by upright shell and scroll handles, the stepped cover surmounted by a beaded crown resting on a tasselled cushion above the arms of the King of Poland and the Electors of Saxony, on a panelled gilt scrollwork ground, alternately enriched en grisaille and applied with cluster of flowers or cartouches painted after Watteau, the conforming garlanded box raised on four scroll feet
