Of cartouche-shape surmounted by an elaborate floral bouquet, flanked by putti, the enriched rocaille-moulded frame applied allover with flowering branches with four birds and two further putti at the lower corners, flanked by s-shaped candelarms supporting foliate nozzles and drip-pans, mounted on a wooden back

Krockenberger, Edles Meissner Porzellan aus 3 Jahrhunderten, Winnenden, 2002, p. 270 for a related larger mirror dated 1886. Ludwig II, (1845-1886), the King of Bavaria, commissioned related Meissen objects and mirrors for Schloss Linderhof, his extravagant Second Rococo Revival abode in Upper Bavaria, built in 1878.
