Of baluster form, the neck richly gilt with variantly patterned bands including scrolling acanthus, white 'jewels', greek key and trophy motifs, finely painted with a continuous Bacchanalian scene of scantily clad maidens dancing and playing tambourines before a bust of a satyr, a young Bacchus playing pipes below, on a conforming foot
