Each of shield shape flanked by upright handles, surmounted by a pierced cover with ribbon-tied wreath finial, painted with an amorous mythological couple, including either a musician or a sleeping warrior, within a gilt beaded surround, further scrollwork and white 'jewels', the reverse with a floating maiden in classical drapery, on a conforming foot, square base and stand
