Set with four tiles, the Mintons example painted with brightly colored nasturtiums on a black-ground, the Boulenger examples painted with either rose briar and a view of a pastoral or love birds perched on a branch on a pink-ground, in the Japonisme taste, the Montreaux example painted with a village street, a chateau in the distance, all set within a metal frame cast with stiff-leaves and suspending moths from chains, the lower portion with a small vase enamelled with budding and blooming flowers and a moth, above a small square blue and white tile set within a pierced foliate shelf, all on four aquatic bird feet
