The neck moulded with oak branches and acorns and applied with alternating lion mask and cherubic satyr handles suspending ribbon-tied oak leaf festoons, the spiral-moulded body applied front and back with a monogrammed oval panel for Madame de Pompadour, on a conforming foot

The present model appears to be based on Mintons' shape no. 1018. See The Claire Nicholson Weiss Collection, Christie's, New York, 31 May 2000, lot 607 for a very similar Minton example.
